Timeline

1990 - 1999

Liam spent most of her days cooking food under the guidance of her Thai Grandmother, who lovingly (and patiently) passed down her family recipes. Their ingredients didn’t magically appear from a shop nearby, so she also fished, sourced ingredients from the local chicken & cow farms, vegetable gardens and rice paddies.

2006
present

Worked over 15 years (2006-present) as a teacher instructor for multiple cooking schools in Chiang Mai. She also owned and operated a Thai food shop for 8 years at the local markets, all while studying her Business English Major at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University

2011
Present

She continued her love of learning through studying ‘Thai and Western Foods’ from “Thai & International Food Academy”. She also travelled to other countries to learn other cooking styles with their indigenous peoples. Her love of travel and learning allowed her to enjoy street food experiences in Hong Kong, Bali, Indonesia, France, Italy, China, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Australia. Experiencing so many different cultures gave her new insights into her exploration of different cuisines. She noticed Thai restaurants being very popular in every city, but the cost of even the most basic dishes being overly expensive. She recognized that people could easily learn some basic Thai dishes and techniques, any person could enjoy traditional Thai dishes more cheaply and more often.

2023
post Covid

A new year and Thailand opened their country after the confusion of Covid-19. Liam decided this was the time to open her kitchen again and pursue her dream of sharing s her love and passion of Thai cooking with international travellers, ex-pats, and local professional chefs. She always believed people learn more effectively in a fun and relaxed learning atmosphere. Liam’s general Thai cooking classes have been designed with the home cook in mind, but are suitable for people of all ability levels.
